My inspired artist is Lucy Sparrow. Lucy Sparrow is British and the materials she works with are felt and paint. Lucy Sparrow's newest project is called "8 'til late" and it's a temporary installation designed to look like a corner store with every product you could imagine made of felt and paint. This is her website. http://www.sewyoursoul.co.uk/home/ What makes Lucy Sparrow's work inspiring to me is the fact that each piece takes so much time to make. She has to design it, cut the felt and stitch the pieces together. She didn't only make one piece, she made 31 thousand pieces, enough to fill a small supermarket for her corner store project. The level of detail in each one is also crazy to me. She included every logo, slogan, and design on the packaging perfectly. From far away, I might even think I'm looking at the actual product. I'm drawn in because I can't imagine how much time and effort she put into making these pieces and I think it's so cool that she took the time to make so many of them so she could fill an entire store.
